Brief
Introduction
Each
winter the wetlandsaround Mai Po and
Inner Deep Bay area is home to nearly
one quarter of the world's population
of Black-faced Spoonbills. This bird
species is critically endangered, having
a smaller world population than, for
example, the giant Panda. We have the
honour and responsibility to safeguard
the Mai Po and Inner Deep Bay area
for the Black-faced Spoonbill and the
many other species of animals and plants
that live there.
