Although most fruits in local markets are imported, quite a variety of fruit trees can be found growing in the countryside particularly in village areas, for example, lychee, longan, banana, wampei, tangerine, guava and pineapple. In this specimen orchard, over 30 species of Tropical and Subtropical fruit trees are collected, the majority of which are grown in South China.
